Duties of PTSA Executive Board Officers
 President
• Preside at all meetings of the association, then executive committee, and the board of directors.
• Perform such other duties as may be prescribed in these bylaws or assigned to him/her by the association, the executive committee, or the board of directors.
• Coordinate the work of the officers and committees of the association in order that the Objects may be promoted.
President-Elect
• Act as aide to the President
• Perform duties of the President in his/her absence.
1st Vice-President – Programs
• Act as aide to the President.
• Serve as Program Chairperson.
• Serve as Volunteer Coordinator.
2nd Vice-President – Membership
• Act as aide to the President.
• Serve as Membership Chairperson.
3rd Vice-President
Ways and Means
• Act as aide to the President.
• Serve as Ways and Means Chairperson.
Recording Secretary
• Record the minutes of all meetings of the association, the executive committee and the board of directors.
• Have a current copy of the bylaws.
• Maintain a membership list.
• Perform such other duties as may be prescribed to him/her.
Corresponding Secretary
• Conduct all correspondence of the PTSA.
• Shall send name and address of newly elected officers to the State Office District President and Council President.
• Shall notify the executive committee/board of all meetings.
Treasurer
• Have custody of all of the funds of the association.
• Keep a full and accurate account of receipts and expenditures.
• Make disbursements as authorized by the President, executive committee, board of directors or PTSA, in accordance with the budget adopted by the PTSA.
• Have checks or vouchers signed by two (2) persons, i.e. the Treasurer and one (1) other authorized person.
• Present a financial statement at every meeting of the association and at other times when requested by the executive board, board of directors, or President.
